Research Interests

In may 2008 I successfully defended my doctoral thesis on the influence of the international community on domestic responsibility and political participation in the Republika Srpska (Bosnia & Herzegovina). I look forward to developing aspects of my thesis, particularly the areas on “uncivil society” and notions of sovereignty, in the near future. I have a keen interest in international political theory, participation, and the politics and cultures of Bosnia & Herzegovina and the wider Balkans. Basing myself in Bosnia means I now have the opportunity to significantly substantiate my PhD findings. I also have a research interest in investigating the roles played by popular music and sport in contemporary society.
