The EU and its Neighbours

Published: Sun 18th May

The underlying theme of the workshop is the emerging tension between the normative fundamentals and the strategic objectives of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). While both the value logic and the security logic are present in the official discourse on the ENP, latest developments raise questions whether the EU's norm export in the wider neighbourhood is compatible with the EU's interests in ensuring the cooperation of neighbouring states on hard and soft security matters.
